_{Kenji seems like a very} excited loser at first glance, and proves to be about the same through all levels of friendship.
He is very VVVERRY loud which makes him seem a little obnoxious, but he doesn't realise how weird it may be to some people.
He is overly friendly and likes to greet anyone with an excited "HELLO!!!", he doesn't appear to be ashamed of many things he does.

When he is in the heat of the moment, playing basketball, he can get a little more loud and really believes that his team is the best [and everyone else can go home]. He has a lot of team pride as well as his own pride and wont stand for being embarrassed.

He can get a little hot headed when upset, which can actually be pretty easy if you are outwardly cruel and critical to him.
Once he doesn't really like you that much, he may perform the equivalent to a tantrum.

He seems to admire other people who play basketball, even off his team. [and has a thing for team captainsssss]
He loves getting noticed more than anything, and seems to do ridiculous things like flexing to get attention from the ladies, which probably does not work at all.

Before basketball, Kenji was more into just running, he liked to run to different placed and did very well in races at school.
He still likes to practice running now and again, but this skill seems to be very involved with basketball anyway.

History
_{Throughout his entire life to when he can last remember he was always close with his twin sister. His family was very lenient in what their kids wanted to do with their life and supported them throughout their younger years to now.
He wasn't sure what he wanted to do when he was older when he was very young, but his sister was very sure.
She had always had a passion for sports, and more importantly, she loved basketball. she took sports very seriously.
He on the other hand didn't care much for sport, it was fun, but he was never serious about it.

His twin sister, being stronger and fitter than him at this time, was just as loud [andstupid] as he was. They often passed the time by pulling ridiculous bets to glorify themselves and basically show who has the biggest balls of the two.
she, who was more into sports than he was, had the upper hand of the two when it came to physical dares to do with sports.

she decided to give her brother a bet that she knew he couldn't do one day while her friends were over for basketball practice and a bit of fun.
Basketball was her passion as well as a few other sports, but it was one she shared with all of her friends. Kenji often played with the girls that came over, but he wasn't nearly as good as his sister was. She put her heart into playing the sport whereas he just played for fun.

things suddenly got a little heated when Kenji continued to play and hog the ball or not play by the rules properly and his sister decided to dare him into winning against her.
That day he lost miserably to his sister and she would not stop bragging about it at school and at home for the whole week. Kenji decided that this girl needed to be beat, hard.
He practiced basketball every afternoon and realised he actually had quite a skill for it. He was originally more into running, but this kind of sport made his hobby more interesting.
His sister eventually forgot about that one bet, but became very interested in her twin brothers' sudden interest for basketball.

He decided that once he became a second year, he wanted to become a part of Yosen's basketball team; which made her quite happy for him and excited that her brother was now showing a lot of interest in a sport she was passionate about.

she did not hesitate in coaching him
Since they were 10 years old they practiced together in their backyard right up until second year and beyond.
She hopes that someday her brother will help pull the team he has since become a part of to victory.
after all, if he doesn't he owes her $10.

TL;DR
Kenji's twin sister always beat him at basketball and rubbed it in his face, hoping he would become competitive about it.
He eventually did and practiced every afternoon to beat his sister so she could stop picking on him, but didn't realise how much he actually liked the sport.
His sister, excited about him becoming very interested with the sport just like she was, decided to proudly take him under her wing and train him to become a star player one day in Yosen's basketball team.}

Trivia
- Rather light weight which helps him in terms of speed; although he hopes he can become stronger soon.
- Ties his hair up in weird, offensive ways to 'hopefully distract the other team', that is if people on his own team won't question him first.
